And you would be surprised to know that with regard to the second-Friday earnings, the film has left behind the 2016 Salman Khan-starrer Sultan (Rs 7.43 crore). The reason why Sultan – a film that went on to breach the Rs 300 crore-mark – would have registered low collection on its second Friday is because it released on a Wednesday (July 6, 2016) and its second Friday was actually its Day 10 at the box-office. By this point in time, a Salman Khan-starrer is usually done with fetching 80 per cent of its lifetime collection and the earnings in the subsequent days are usually small. Yet, what Vicky’s film has achieved is absolutely phenomenal.
